Wild Strawberry

Wild strawberries are tiny and very hard to find. When you do find them, they are absolutely delicioius: like slightly tart strawberries with a hint of vanilla. I first came across them in the Burren on the slopes of Gleninagh, after much arduous hiking through shoulder high bushes, brambles and bracken. The one or two I ate were worth all the scratching and bruising. But then I discovered a much more abundant source *much* closer to home. But I'm not telling anyone where.
