Sunset and Wall

I'd just come down from a long, bitterly cold (but very enjoyable!) hike in late January 2006 and was driving back to the Perfumery when I passed this wall with the door in it (that's a door for sheep, by the way) and then registered the sun almost on the horizon on the far side of the valley a few metres later. I stopped the car in the middle of the road , leaving the door open, and ran back with tripod and camera wondering if everything would line up and if I could get a shot before the sun sank. It reminded me of Newgrange. If you haven't been to Newgrange (or Knowth or Dowth or Loughcrew) - go. And put your name down for the winter solstice - you will never experience anything like it.
