I've walked a lot in the Burren and lived here for a long time and I'm starting to think that to really see the Burren at its best you need a cloudy day. On a sunny cloudy day you get to see the shadows of the clouds run across the landscape, picking out the mountains in light and dark. And on a really cloud day, the colours of the flowers become alive, purples, reds, pinks, yellows and creams all deep and vibrant.
