Lesser Butterfly Orchid

Butterfly orchids can be found in large numbers on wet ground near the Perfumery and throughout the Burren. Like the fly orchid, they can be hard to see, as they are small and have white flowers. However, once you find one you are likely to discover that you are standing in a field full of them! The flower head bears many small flowers, the ones pictured here are about a centimetre across.
