Rainscape

April showers bring May flowers, but in truth, no matter what time of the year it is, you're never far from rain in the Burren. That's what comes of being the first country the Gulf Stream meets as it crosses the Atlantic. On the plus side, the weather changes fast, so even a rainy day usually features some sunshine. Rain clouds also bring out the winter colours of the Burren and emphasise the wildness of this sparsely populated region.
