Last Light

On the West coast of Ireland the sun always sets over the sea, and often there are no clouds offshore, as rain clouds form in the West as warm moist air is driven higher as it meets the coastal mountains. What this means is that very often, on an overcast winter day, for the last few minutes before sunset the sun escapes from under the clouds and lights the mountain tops with the last light of the day. Here Turloughmore is lit by a November sunset.
