Bird's Foot Trefoil

Bird's Foot Trefoil (so called because its long, thin seed pods resemble the claws of a bird) is common throughout the Burren. It forms patches of very bright yellow and is exceedingly pretty when you get down to ground level and look it in the eye. It grows through Spring to late Summer; this picture was taken on June 2nd 2004.
