Turloughmore is a hill that forms part of a chain running roughly South down the Eastern edge of the Burren, beginning with Cappaghmore and ending with Mullaghmore. Walking some or all of this chain is very rewarding. In season there are many orchids and other flowering plants, and the views are spectacular. In winter (this was taken in November 2003) the low golden light is incredible, the reds and russets of the grasses glow, and the deep grain of the Burren is emphasised with long shadows.
